Bharata the fractured jewel!

by Yogi Harinam Baba Prem Tom Beal, Vedakovid, C.ay, C.va, CYI

India! Bharata, perhaps she is the mother of civilization.  Growing evidence points to the oldest civilization being the Vedic culture.  As mountains of evidence grow to support this concept scholars are backpedaling on theories once held sacred in western learning institutions.  Scholars are struggling to modify, alter, or ignore failed theories that were generally accepted as reality with little or no real evidence.  But the greatest trick played on the Indian subcontinent was the fragmentation of its spiritual systems.

Western scholars convinced of the Aryan invasion attempted to drive a wedge between the Hindu people by creating perceived differences between Aryan (which became the religious sect) and Dravidians, the original inhabitants of India.  This has lead to conflict and social strife between different groups within India.  Ironically Agastya, who was a seer in the Rg Veda, was the founder of the Dravidian culture.  He created the Dravidian alphabet!  This does not offer a good argument for division between the Aryan and Dravidian people.  In fact it is difficult to establish an Aryan people beyond Vedic noble people.  There is no evidence to support that the Aryan people were different from the Dravidian people at all.  The first fracture that needs to be healed within Bharata is the illusion of difference between the Aryan and Dravidian people.

The second fracture that should be healed is between the Buddhist and Hindu.  Hinduism is the mother to Buddhism.  The Buddha dismayed with the level that Hinduism had evolved into, renounced not Hinduism but illusionary beliefs.  He often referred to his students as “Aryan”, or noble people, more correctly his teachings as Aryan Dharma.  While Buddhism has moved away from some of its Hindu characteristics, the two still share much in common.  Especially Tibetan Buddhism, which often referred to its earlier Shamanistic traditional as having come from the west over the mountains.  Which is powerful indicator for the Indus/Sarasvati civilization.  Hinduism [Vedic civilization] laid the groundwork for the Tibetan civilization, and Hinduism returned with new information in the form of Buddhism.  Hindu’s and Buddhist must recognize their common ground.  Respect each other’s systems and come together in the healing of India.

The third fracture that needs to heal is Hindu and Jain philosophy.  Hindu and Jain’s share numerous truths such as rebirth.  Both share a belief in Animism.  Both believe in refraining from falsehood, and sensual pleasures.  While often the term “reformist” is often used to describe Jain’s and Buddhists, a more correct term would be off shoots of the same basic philosophy.

The fourth fracture that needs to heal is Sikh and Hindu.  Many argue that the Sikh “Mula Mantra” separates it from Hinduism by affirming belief in one God compared with Hinduism’s apparent polytheistic system.  In reality the Vedic civilization, mother of Hinduism, revealed a belief in one God, Brahman.  This remains true to this day within Hinduism, as Hinduism accepts the spiritual authority of the Vedas.  In the Sikh text known as “the Siri Guru Granth Sahib” it is clearly shown a belief in past karmas, rebirth, self-realization, and even cycles of births.

The fifth fracture that needs to heal is the feeling that outside religions are superior.  No other culture, society, or people of the earth are known to have recorded more spiritual teachings than the Hindu or Vedic civilization.  This region of the world is truly the first and last world on spirituality.  The Indian region (including Tibet and similar areas)  has demonstrated a depth of understanding pertaining to spiritual truth unrivaled by any other culture known to date.  India has recorded and preserved the largest library of spiritual teachings ranging from the Vedas (shrutti), Aranykas, Brahmanas, Samhitas, Upanishads, Tantras, Puranas, numerous Gitas, Bhagavad Gita, Samhitas, Shastras, Upavedas, Vedangas, Siri Guru Granath Sahib, to name just a few.  It developed advanced mathematics, in-depth astrological teachings, Ayurveda and extremely advanced programs such as Yoga, mantra and meditation.

The Sanskrit language, possibly the mother language to the world, is one of the most complex and in-depth languages known to man.  It is the language of meditation and spiritual realization.  India developed a rich understanding of art.  It produced remarkable stone carvings, and has demonstrated that it could produce stone with musical tones.  In Ayurveda, it has been demonstrated that toxic substances could be made safe and a powerful healing tool through proper preparation.  This is commonly called Bhasma.

The sixth fracture that needs to heal is between the followers of Shiva and Vishnu.  The follower based competition between Shiva and Vishnu only serves to fracture the sacred Jewel of India even more.

The seventh fracture that needs to heal is the division between north and south, and east and west.  While these wounds run deep, for the sacred jewel to regain its former beauty, geographic divisions must disappear.

While fractured, India remains the sacred jewel for the world.  Acting as her mother, nurturing western societies ills with yoga, meditation, Ayurveda and spiritual teachings.  India, home of the yajna (sacrifice), has led by example; she has continually offered herself over and over for the betterment of mankind.

Authors Note:

This article was written after a vision of mother (Kali).  After the vision these words flowed from my fingers.  I believe it is at least a part of her message to Bharata.  It is not my writing as I am only a messenger, glory be to Kali.

It is interesting to note the reference to 7 fractures, in light of the 7 chakras.  The 7 chakras becoming balanced and activated give each of us wholeness.  The 7 fractures seem to indicate a first step in Bharata regaining its wholeness while continuing to move strongly into the 21st century and beyond.

Peace and unity of the Indian people is crucial at this time.  Otherwise forces of negativity and aggression can cause fractures that will take generations or longer to heal.  Jai Bharata, Om Shantih, Shantih, Shantih.
